A quest for friendship where you find yourself by searching for others

Produced by Théâtre de la Petite Marée
Presented by Théâtre de la Vieille 17

SYNOPSIS

This is the story of a child—Little Moi-Moi—who secretly sets off in search of a caribou. He wants to prove that caribou exist and demonstrate his bravery. But there’s a problem: Moi-Moi has never seen a caribou in his life.
When he meets Caribou Vite-Vite, he too has left his herd to prove his independence, and he too is lost. “Will you help me find the caribou?” Moi-Moi asks him. The little caribou, not knowing himself that he is a caribou, accepts the invitation and takes on Moi-Moi’s quest.
On their journey, they encounter strange beings (including Bear-Girl and Girl-Bear, who are eternally searching for each other), but they are also guided by the gentle and infinitely old Grandmother Asclepiade (the story’s narrator, a symbol of memory and ancestral presence connecting the different forces of nature).

Young audience, ages 6 and up.

Running time: 55 min
