Crawlspace : A True Real Estate Horror Story
— Adult Production
A Théâtre français de Toronto production
Invited by la Vieille 17
SYNOPSIS
You won’t believe it and yet it’s a true story… A real real estate horror story, that of playwright Karen Hines and her beautiful new house… riddled with vices. Crawlspace: A True Real Estate Horror Story explores the dark side of the real estate industry, a cruel and zany battlefield. Absurd, clownish, but not so far from the truth, this Kafkaesque comedy, translated from English by Mishka Lavigne, echoes the stress experienced by new property buyers, the social pressure that inhabits them, and the merciless legal system who supervises them. A true study on the human condition, which also underlines the importance of the rattan balls which decorate the tables and corners of the houses put up for sale. Make way for chaos!
